I am Caela Yessick, MA, ALC, NCC (She/Her/Hers). I obtained my Master of Arts in Counselor Education-Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Alabama in 2020, and my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2017. During my practicum and internship, I had the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, and college aged clients. I am licensed to practice in the state of Alabama as an Associate Licensed Counselor through the Alabama Board of Examiners in Counseling. I work with clients of all backgrounds and cultures. Whether your needs focus on processing trauma, discussing and understanding the facets of being part of the LGBTQIA+ community, couples counseling, learning to cope with anxiety, depression, and/or stress, building self-esteem, or simply talking through emotions and helping "connect the dots," I am here for you on your journey through all this and more. My treatment approaches in therapy include, but are not limited to, person-centered therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychotherapy (also known as "talk therapy").
