Finding Your Path to Healing
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#LPC04918) in the state of Alabama. After graduating with my Masters in 2020, I created a part-time private practice, Caela Rhea Counseling, to provide affirmative therapy for LGTBQ+ clients in Alabama. Shortly after starting my practice, I also accepted a full-time position as the Sexual Assault Counselor at Turning Point Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Services in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Caela Rhea Counseling operates on a part-time basis, with virtual sessions offered weeknights 6pm-8pm and Saturday from 9am-4pm. Services are privately paid and not currently covered by insurance. The focus of my practice is helping LGBTQ+ clients explore their gender identity and sexual orientation, process trauma, gain coping skills, improve self-esteem, and anything else you want to work on.
Turning Point is open Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with sessions offered both in-person and virtually. To be eligible for these free services, you must have a history of intimate partner violence and/or sexual assault/abuse, as well as reside in one of the following counties in AL: Tuscaloosa, Bibb, Hale, Lamar, Fayette, Pickens, Greene, Marengo, or Sumter. Healing trauma is an individualized journey, but I can guide you on your journey. We can process trauma and its impact, explore health and unhealthy relationship dynamics, learn about dynamics of abuse, improve coping and communication skills, challenge and shift negative core beliefs, and so much more.
